VARIOUS ARTISTS "GoGo Music 10th Anniversary Collections Vol. 1-4" (GoGo Music) 

GoGo Music celebrates 10 years in the business, releasing 4 awesome compilations including some of the best tunes over that period. "Soul for the floors" provides 10 beautiful soulful/deep vocal tracks, including classic GoGo gems like Ralf GUM Feat. Monique Bingham "Kissing strangers", Inaya Day's "Loose my worries", King Club's "You were singing" and Raw Artistic Soul feat. Ursula Rucker "The light". "Dubs for the clubs" is a more Underground dancefloor addicted selection featuring tracks like the classic "Little W 12th St" and Black Coffee's "Trip to Lyon" just to name a few, while "Track for the heads" is a deeper affair with cuts from Raw Artistic Soul, Rocco, Bucie, Black Coffee, Hood Natives and Ralf GUM himself. DAWN TALLMAN "U turn" (Diva Down Ent.) 

Gospel house superstar Dawn Tallman is back with a brand new release titled "U turn" which includes hot remixes for the dancefloors provided by Davidson Ospina, Josh Milian and MenaKeys. Davidson Ospina delivers a powerful deep influenced remix with pumpin' bassline and great keys to support the sublime vocal performance by Dawn Tallman, Josh Milian provides a smoother soulful rework, while MenaKeys offers a solid classy workout enriched with beautiful piano and guitar parts. SIR IVAN "Hare Krishna" RMXS (Peaceman Music) 

Sir Ivan's decision to record the track had nothing at all to do with any religious beliefs, he simply likes the melody, so he had re-written the lyrics to focus on spreading universal love. The 7 version remix package includes some powerful reworks from top producers and remixers like Sir Ivan's producer Ford, Hoxton Whores, Tony Moran & Warren Rigg, King & White, DJ Praveen Nair, Flash Brothers and CR n' Sugarman. VARIOUS ARTISTS "Fabric 62 : DJ Sneak" Album (Fabric)

With over 20 years of DJing, one of the world's most talented house hero's, DJ Sneak, selects and mixes the new Fabric 62 compilation. Sneak's mixed set is composed of 18 super-hot contemporary house nuggets with echoes of Chicago and Jackin' house sound he loves, drizzled with elements of techno. The set is an infectious crescendo, from the minimal techy sounds of the early tracks to the powerful funky-house of the second part of the set, Sneak selects hot house music from some of the very best Nu Cool house artists. SUNLIGHTSQUARE Feat. tasita D'Mour "Heaven only knows" (Sunlightsquare Records)

Sunlightsquare is back with a new, beautiful soulful release done in collaboration with NY DJ Hippie Torrales. "Heaven only knows" is an infectious soulful track with wonderful vocals provided by soul diva Tasita D'Mour. This hot package also includes some stellar remixes, Jose Burgos & George Mena delivers a solid groovy and deeper rework for the dancfloor, while Dave Doyle serves an awesome soulful house masterpiece, adding funky elements, infectious keys and warm strings that gives the track an irresistible uplifting vibe, and finally Mustafa offers a beautiful jazzy and groovy rework. KNEE DEEP "All nite" (The Brothers) 

Kicking off 2012 with a fresh bag of sounds, the next in the Knee Deep remixed series is "All night" which gets rework from top UK DJ/Producer Aaron Ross. Aaron's "Main Mix" is a solid dancefloor bomb with pumpin' beats, great bassline and infectious vocal hooks. The "Systematik Deep Mix" is a different but equally powerful affair, Aaron chops the vocals, refreshes the groove, adds an infectious synth bass and the second bomb is served. DOM NAVARRA Feat. Cairo "Like rain" (Gotta Keep Faith) 

Mr. Sueno Soul (Dom Navarra) is back on Gotta Keep Faith with another soulful gem feauturing Cairo on vocals. The Main mix of "Like rain" is a beautiful slice of smooth and infectious soulful house enriched with Cairo's intense soulful vocals. Dom Navarra is also responsable for the deeper and solid "Spaced out mix". On remix duty we have Alex Senna who provides an essential funky-house rework, while DJ Umbi goes deeper in his late night flavoured remix. Marco Finotello provides a very cool smoothly funk inspired version and finally Mr. Fuzz delivers a pumpin' deep and techy rework.  (Franco Martinelli)

GROOVE JUNKIES & STUTTERING MUNX Ft. Indeya "Addicted to the rise" RMXS (MoHo) 

The new release on MoHo is the remixes package of "Addicted to rise" by Groove Junkies & Suttering feat. Indeya, originally included in the "Stories of an addict" EP. This bundle of remixes includes new reworks from Piers Kirwan, Evan Landes & Tim Davies and Tim Nice. UK's Piers Kirwan delivers a powerful, bumpin' remix for the dancefloor, with solid beats, driven bassline and lush stab keys. Evan Landes & Tim Davies provides a deeper and atmospheric rework whose is a perfect backtop for Indeya's beautiful vocal performance. RICHARD EARNSHAW "iCulture" (DuffNote)

The new release of Richard Earnshaw on DuffNote is a deep, underground jam featuring James Vargas on sax. The Main mix is a pumpin' deep track with solid beats, wicked keys and an impressive jazzy flavoured sax solo. MK "House Masters" 2xCD (Defected) 

For the latest release in the "House Masters" series, Defected presents one of the most influential producers on the house scene, MK aka Marc Kinchen. From the early '90s MK became one of the genre’s most respected producers and remixers, a pioneer and a legend in the early house music scene. Many of his productions and remixes became house-music classics and for this reason this 2xCD release is a little shining gem in house music history. Twenty of his most influential of recordings are collected and made available completely unedited and unmixed for the very first time on CD and Digital. Tracks like "Burning", "Always", "You Brought Me Love", Chez Damier's classics like "Can You Feel It" and 4th Measure Men's gems like "4 You", "Given" and "The need" are available on this stellar compilation, as well as great remixes of tracks from Masters At Work "Can't get no sleep", The Reese Project "The Colour Of Love", Byron Stingily, Studio Apartment and many others.  (Franco Martinelli) 

KNEE DEEP Feat. Shena "Mysterious" Remixes (The Brothers)

Soulful house the way I love it !!! US house legend Bobby D'Ambrosio remixes this beautiful old track by Knee Deep Faeturing Shena titled "Mysterious". Bobby provides some fantastic soulful remixes and the same does Swiss DJ/Producer Mirco Esposito. Out on Swiss The Brothers label, this track will be part of a compilation that will include brand new remixes provided by well known artists in the house music scene including the likes of Bobby D'Ambrosio, Louis Benedetti, Aaron Ross, Kort and The Brothers themselves, of some of the hottest tracks from the label's back catalouge.  (Franco Martinelli)

"DeepSoulDisco Deluxe" is the latest collection of the winning series Bargrooves, and it's another super compilation featuring 30 hot cuts and classic tracks in full lenght, DJ friendly format. CD 1 is called "Disco deluxe" and includes 10 fresh and uplifting disco-house tracks, featuring Roy Davis Jr's "Enjoy the ride", a powerful remix by Olav Basoski of Jean Jaques Smoothie's "2 People" and the beautiful "Ride" by Something Good, just to name a few. CD2 "Deep deluxe" is a deeper affair, featuring tracks by Quentin Harris, Ben Westbeech, Osunlade, Âme and Tom de Neef, while CD 3 "Soul deluxe" offers a beautiful selection of soulful influenced tracks including Kings Of Tomorrow's "I need to love me", Key To Life's "Find our way", Frankie Knuckles & Jamie Principle's superclassic "Your love", the MK remix of Studio Apartment's "Sun will shine" as well as the Original mix of the classic Phase II track "Reachin" and many other soulful gems.  (Franco Martinelli)

Following the Beach Clubbing philosophy, Defected moves to the southern hemisphere and continues the journey with an intoxicating mix of deep, oceanic grooves, tribal beats and sun-drenched melodies. "Beach Clubbing - Pacific" is the second chapter of the series and it's another awesome compilation of fresh house tracks selected and mixed by Andy Daniels. Both the sets express the essence of the Beach Clubbing philosophy, combining beautiful funky/soulful tracks, infectious deep tunes and hot latin influenced cuts, as well as a few remixed classic house tracks. The solid and completely enjoyable selction includes some real gems like King of Tomorrow's "I need to love me", Roy Davis Jr's "Enjoy the ride", Copyright's "Story of my life" and beautiful remixes of hose superclassics like Frankie Knuckles & Jamie Principle's "Your love", MD X-Press's "God made me funky", MK's "Burning", Jean Jaques Smoothie's "2 People" and Soul Central's "Strings of life, just to name a few. NAMY Feat. Monday Michiru "There she stands" (King Street) 

King Street returns with another superb Japan house music production from Namy Faet. Monday Michiru titled "There she stands". The Original Mix is a nice soulful influenced house track with great vocals and nice piano, but it's the Frankie Feliciano remixes that really makes the difference. The legendary US Producer/Remixer delivers an essential smooth and soulful gem provided in Vocal, Instrumental and Dub Reprise mixes. Soulful house at its best.  (Franco Martinelli) 

BEN WESTBEECH "There's more to life than this" Album (d:vision / Strictly Rhythm)

Ben Westbeech's new album is a real nice one, all the tracks are really enjoyable, Ben's soulful vocals reminds me of Jamiroquai, and the music is a perfect combination of pop influenced melodies with a jazzy touch, house rhythms, electronic elements and live instrumentation. The fresh and uplifting "Something for the week end" is one of the peaks of the album, but all the tracks are really good, some of my favourite includes "The book", "Falling", "Same thing" and "Justice". Probably this album is a little bit too pop to be an house music favourite and it's a little too house to be a pop number, but all in all it's a pleasure to listen to it.  (Franco Martinelli) 

VARIOUS ARTISTS "Azuli Presents Amsterdam '11" 2xCD (Azuli)

Azuli celebrates the Amsterdam 2011 ADE event with a powerful compilation mixed by two of the Netherlands brightest young talents, Franky Rizzardo and Roul & Doors. The album features some of the biggest records of the summer plus a selection of Azuli killer productions, well mixed by the two Dutch talented djs. Franky Rizzardo provides a solid house set offering an infectious selection of club friendly funky and deep tracks including hot cuts from Steffi, Copyright, Chocolate Puma, X-Press 2, Hardsoul, Michael Gray, Studio Apartment and many others, some of which remixed from Franky himself. Roul & Doors delivers a more latin influenced and sun drenched set including tracks from The Good Men, Kings Of Tomorrow, D Ramirez, DJ Meme, Soul Cartel, Copyright and many others, including some tracks from the duo themselves.  (Franco Martinelli) 

FRED FALKE "Part IV" Album (Work It Baby)

Do you remember Fred Falke ? Well, the French house music genious returns to business with his debut artist album entitled "Part IV". 12 tracks of pure French Touch style in a perfect Fred Falke signature flavor, made of nervous sample cuttings, filtered melodies and effective basslines. "Back to stay" reminds of some classic Daft Punk tracks, "Bare knuckle" is a thoug groovy track driven by a rock influenced electric guitar, "Chicago" is a beautiful old school infected house track, while "Look into your eyes" is an uplifting filtered house track with a catchy vocal hook. PETE TONG "Wardance" (Toolroom) 

Pete Tong returns with a new release on Toolroom, "Wardance" is an irresitible driving house cut with percussive grooves, rolling bassline, wiked synth and infectious tribal infused chant that really works on the dancefloor. Remixes comes from Matthias Tanzmann who delivers a stripped down, more minimal rework, while Tom Flynn provides more groove laden beats with added drive.  (Franco Martinelli)

DJ CHRISTOS Pres. Ree Morris "Inside of me" (GoGo)

GoGo returns with another South Africa's Soulful-House gem, "Inside of me" by DJ Christos Pres. Ree Morris is a fantastic soulful track provided with powerful remixes by Ralf GUM, Rocco and DJ Christos himself. The "Main mix" is an awesome soulful affair, with infectious keys, warm percussions, and funky bassline, enriched with an intense vocal performance by talented singer and multi-instrumentalist Ree Morris. Ralf GUM provides a beautiful remix, adding afro-house percussions and cool jazzy elements, while French house master Rocco delivers a deeper and more minimal remix, with clean solid beats and infectious piano chords. DJ Christos remix is a deeper rework of the Main mix with extra atmospheric pads that creates an infectious nighttime mood, and finally The Hood Natives offers a nice Afro-soul, groovy remix.  (Franco Martinelli) 

GRUPO X "As hills go by" Album (Loft Recordings)

"As hills go by" is the exciting new album from UK cross cultural groovers - Grupo X. Having previously been famed for their special blend of Soulful Latin Jazz fusions, "As hills go by" marks a change in direction for the band as they delve into their musical roots. The result is a hip-swaying, foot stomping, 9 track long player, oozing with Funk, Soul, Jazz and Grupo X's trademark crowd-pleasing grooves, heavy horns and soulful vocals produced by Simon Edwards, Jonny Enright and Pete Eckford. "As hills go by" features the stunning vocals of Lisa Millett. The first single release from the album and heavily supported by BBC 6 Music's Lauren Laverne, is the outstanding ‘Waiting all day’, a slow retro-tinged slice of heartfelt soul, featuring a hammond slaying Northern Soul remix from old pal Johnny Machin on the full release. Taken from the album "I am peaceman" here comes the new single of Sir Ivan titled "Live for today". This nice track with catchy vocals and positive message has been reworked for the dancefloor by some top remixers, including DJs From Mars, Chris Cox, Tony Moran & Warren Rigg and Smoke & Mirrors who provides 4 powerful techy influenced remixes for the dancefloor, adding pumpin' beats and wicked synths. The package also includes remixes by Ford who  delivers an infectious 80's synth-pop influenced remix that really makes the difference, and finally, for the more underground situations, a tougher "F. "Something for the week end" is the second single taken from Ben Westbeech's new beautiful album "There's more to life than this". The "Original mix" is a fresh and uplifting disco-house track that perfectly fits with Ben's soulful vocals. The package also includes a lot of awesome remixes, including the beautiful "Joey Negro Z mix", as well as the deeper and intense "Lee Foss & Robert James Spirit remix", the groovy "The revenge keep up dub", an old-school infected remix by Breach, a minmal techy and groovy rework by Roska and finally a very cool jazzy remix by Gerry Read.  (Franco Martinelli)  

DEEP STREET SOUL "Look out watch out" LP (Freestyle Records) 

If you love the classic Funky stuff, you will love this album ! Hailing from Melbourne, Deep Street Soul are the local kings of Australian raw funk. For their new album, the band welcome on board the talented new vocalist May Johnston and the result is awesome. The album is a deep dive into funky music and includes some beautiful gems like the instrumental "Soul loco suite", "Sweetback", "What she said", the album title track "Look out watch out" and the mellow and dreamy final cut "Falling".  (Franco Martinelli) 

MARCO FINOTELLO & MAGGIE SMILE "People get together" (Favouritizm) 

Italian duo Marco Finotello & Maggie Smile debuts on Favouritizm with a solid disco-house track titled "People get together". This track is builded on a solid funky groove, enriched with infectious piano hook, disco guitar licks, pumpin' bassline and the catchy, uplifting vocal performance by Maggie. Beside the powerful vocal mix, the package also includes a nice Instrumental mix as well as an edited Radio mix.  (Franco Martinelli)

After a stellar summer season at Pacha Ibiza, Erick Morillo provides the powerful "Subliminal Invasion" compilation. In this 2xCD mixed album, Morillo re-creates the magic vibe of his Pacha nights, mixing 2 killer sets for all the house music lovers. In CD1, Morillo delivers an awesome classic/vocal house set, including hot tracks like "Stronger" by Morillo himself, "Spirituality" by Eddie Amador, "Freakin" by Jason Herd, as well as great tracks and mixes by artists like Harry Choo Choo Romero, Jose Nunez, Olav Basoski, and Rony Seikaly, just to name a few. TIMMY REGISFORD Ft. Lynn Lockamy "At the club" (Tribe Records)

"At the club" is the title track and one of the best tracks from Timmy Regisford's album released at the beginning of the year. The single release offers some very hot remixes, including a powerful and hypnotic rework laced with sexy haunting synth stabs and a driving key hook from top French producer Rocco. Other remixes comes from South African producer Da Capo who delivers a deeper and underground rework, while South Africa music pioneer DJ Mbuso provides an hot afrocentric groovy remix.  (Franco Martinelli)  

MR. MOON & Angel D Feat. Michael Fleming "Soulmate" (Duff Note)

Mr Moon returns to Duffnote with "Soulmate", a beautiful soulful track made in collaboration with Angel D and Michael Flaming who provides a wonderful vocal performance. The "Original mix" is an intense soulful-house affair, with solid beats, great jazz guitar parts and and warm keys. The package also includes 2 fresh remixes from up and coming Dutch producers, Mike Scot provides an alternative rework, adding filtered vocals and sax parts, while Eric Jadi delivers an awesome and uplifting jazzy influenced remix that really makes the difference.  (Franco Martinelli) 

MAURITZIO "Mama Kumba" (Cabana)

Mauritzio's new release on Cabana is an intense afro-jazzy affair titled "Mama Kumba". The Original mix is an infectious version based on a superb percussive groove enriched with well used vocal samples, jazzy keys and afro tinged horns. Justin Imperiale provides a more pumpin' Afrobeat remix, adding solid and hypnotic beats, as well as a funky bassline and infectious jazz instrumentation to support the cool sax solo, and finally, the Jungle Dub is a deep percussive track enriched with hypnotic bassline and African jungle effects.  (Franco Martinelli) 

GROOVE ADDIX Ft. Kardri Anne "On your side" (Gotta Keep Faith) 

The new release of NYC production duo Groove Addix on Gotta Keep Faith is a solid vocal-house track titled "On your side". The Original mix is a classic vocal-house affair with solid beats, pumpin' bass and funky guitars to support the uplifting vocals of Kradri Anne. The remixes are more club addicted affairs, with DJ Umbi that provides a deeper and underground rework, while Junior White delivers a nice peak-time remix. The package also includes an intense, deep and minimal rework by Mr. Fuzz, as well as a techy infected, groovy remix by Nima's Groove.  (Franco Martinelli) 

SIR IVAN "I am Peaceman" Album (Peaceman Music) 

The high energy electro-pop-rock singer and peace activist Sir Ivan presents his new 60's inspired tribute album "I am peaceman". In this 15 songs album, produced by Ford, Sir Ivan performes some of the most famous and inspired peace-songs of the sixties with the taste of modern days, creating an infectious combination of classic rock sounds enriched with electronic rhythms and accents. In many occasions the result is awesome, his remake of the super classic "For what it's worth" is one of the more solid and fresher cover of the song since Buffalo Springfield's original release. All the tracks are revisited with both airplay and dance potential. Some of my favourite includes "Love is all around", Lennon's classic "Imagine", Dylan's anthem "Blowin' in the wind", as well as Byrds' hit "Turn turn turn" and Harrison-Beatles gem "Here comes the sun", but the list should continue, in fact the whole album celebrates love and peace with a modern-days sound and 60's sensibilities.  (Franco Martinelli)

VARIOUS ARTISTS "Most Rated Ibiza 2011" 3xCD (ITH / Defected)

Summer's ending, Ibiza's closing parties are on the way, but you can keep the White Island vibe alive, thanks to some spectacular compilations released on Defected. One of my favourite is "Most Rated Ibiza 2011", a fantastic 3XCD package including 30 full length, unedited, unmixed house hits strictly for the DJ and guaranteed to work on the dancefloor. This awesome selection includes tracks from Kings Of Tomorrow, David Penn, Olav Basoski, Nouveauyorican, Copyright, Tom Middleton, Ray Foxx, ATFC, DJ Meme, Roul & Doors, DJ Gregory, Roy Davis Jr. andy many others. Ibiza season is ending now, but believe me, most of these tracks will rock the dancefloors in the months to come, guaranteed ! Essential collection for all manner of DJ.  (Franco Martinelli)

JOSH MILAN Presents: "Honeycomb Music volume 1" 2xCD (Honeycomb Music)

Legendary producer/songwriter Josh Milan, that we all know as part of soulful super group Blaze, presents his brand new Honeycomb Music project with the release of a fantastic double album on his very own label. "Honeycomb Music volume 1" is an awesome collection of soulful gems provided by stellar artists, a winning combination of amazing soulful pioneers and brand new upcoming talents, alongside Josh's fantastic band. Featured on the album are lots of Josh's friends, including Cassio Ware on "Wake up", the Queen of Gospel Dawn Tallman on "God", the superb lead singer of the legendary band The Family Stand, Sandra St.Victor, who appears on "I'm better" and "Youself", Nu-Soul's diva Angela Johnson, Alex P Suter, T'Zelle, Crystal Johnson, Chinahblac, as well as new NY talents like Cinnamon Brown and Honey Street.  (Franco Martinelli) 

THE RURALS "Ocean" Album (Peng)

For the new awesome album of The Rurals, Andy Compton (the creator and the driving force behind The Rurals) has brought together an all-star cast of singers and musicians including: Ladybird, Diviniti, Jaidene Veda, Magic Soul, Rowan and Irantzu, along with the Rurals regular band of Charlie Hernshaw, Pete Morris, Andy Barton, Jeff Bass and of course Andy Compton himself. "Ocean" is a beautiful 11 tracks album of quality deep-house music that takes the listener on a journey through mind, body and soul. All the tracks are little deep-house gems sharing positive energy vibrations, builded on warm percussive grooves, hot Rhodes keys, infectious sax and great soulful vocals. I listened this album all summer long, and I will listen to it for a long time.  (Franco Martinelli) 

LIQUIDEEP "Angel" (Tribe Records) 

"Angel" is a beautiful soulful track taken from South African duo Liquideep's debut album "Fabrics of the heart". The Original Mix is a sweet and intense soulful affair, feauturing an emotional heart warming vocal performance over shooting melodic rhythms with warm sweeping keys and a tear jerking piano performance. Baltimore house legends DJ Spen and Gary Hudge provides some bouncy house mixes for the dancefloor, whilst UK talent Sean McCabe delivers an intense deep rework and finally, Tribe label boss Zepherin Saint serves a smooth and melodic remix enriched with warm percussions and beautiful keys.  (Franco Martinelli) 

HOOD NATIVES Ft. Mac Z "Sax in the city" (GoGo)

GoGo Music returns with another deep and intense instrumental release titled "Sax in the city". Provided by South African talented producer Sir SLG and featuring the saxophone talents of Mac Z, this track is a sublime soulful house affair with an intense african taste. Raw Artistic Soul goes deeper in his remix, adding his trademark percussive style and keeping the original vibe alive. Finally, rising South African talent Nastee Nev delivers his soulful laidback rework, adding warm percussions and a beautiful jazzy piano that perfectly meets the Mac Z saxophone.  (Franco Martinelli)

Once again Gotta Keep Faith bless us with a fantastic release, this time courtesy of Asha Edmund whose "What's the figure" is smooth yet fiercely stormin' in the original version which features lush synth melodies alongside her beautiful vocals. Mr. Fuzz (Fred Faupin) contributes a delicious soulful rendition, while QuestionmarQ (Mark Walsh) enters deepest grounds. I don't know much about the Jass team, but their new release on d:vision, titled "Congosquare" is a very interesting deep track. The "Original mix" is an intense deep journey, with warm afro tinged percussions, infectious ethnic vocals and brilliant jazzy influenced keys. The Keemani remix is a more groovy affair, with hypnotic pumpin' beats and extra percussive elements. RICHARD EARNSHAW "In time"  Album  (Groovefinder Records)

Yes, I'm a fan of Richard Earnshaw and it is a real pleasure to me to review this fantastic and long awaited album titled "In time". Richard Earnshaw is a British multi-talented musician, producer and DJ, well known by all the soulful-funky house lovers. This album sees Richard reach far beyond the contemporary house productions he is well known for, delivering a fantastic selection of songs that covers the whole musical spectrum from jazz, soul, funk.house and beyond. The collaborators list is very long and qualified, including heavyweight musicians and vocalists like Jocelyn Brown, Carleen Anderson, Roy Ayers, Ursula Rucher and Kenny Thomas, as well as hot newcomers and previous collaborators like Erick Dillard, Imogen Ryall, Nina Jayne and Natasha Bridge. All the 10 tracks on the LP would deserve a mention, so my advice is to buy the album and enjoy the music of Richard Earnshaw. Album of the summer !!!  (Franco Martinelli)

Lately I received a few promos from DJN Project and these guys are really hot, they provides top quality soulful house enriched with great vocals. "Take you away", released on Vega Records is an awesome soulful gem with infectious Rhodes chords, solid beats, funky bassline and fantastic vocals. The package also includes some hot remixes, Brian Coxx provides a pumpčin' rework for the danfloor, while the "LV latin mix" is a super-cool jazzy influenced rework. "Feelings" on Fuzion Records is another soulful nugget, the great instrumentation perfectly fits with the funky groove and once again, the great vocals really makes the differnce.   (Franco Martinelli)

The Ralf Gum mix of Gardens of Eden is an awesome deep and groovy track where the african inspired percussive elements perfectly fits with the beautiful soulful vocals by Zonke. Sai & Ribatone provides a very cool Broken Beats remix of the same track, adding warm pads and hot keys on infectious broken-beats groove. Lately I received these 2 hot soulful promos from Palymore and even if I don't have the coplete packages I would like to introduce them to all the soulful house lovers, because in both cases these are quality soulful releases. "Love is a miracle" by RedSoul & Rashan Houston is a classic soulful affair with solid beats, great Rhodes chords, infectious strings and intense vocals. "Music first" by Marco Sundee is a funkier track with an infectious soulful flavour, with nice keys, hot strings and that great vocals on a warm percussive groove, this will be for sure a summer winner.   (Franco Martinelli)

GREG STAINER "Sax is back EP" (Seamless) 

Greg Stainer is back with another hot EP on Seamless, titled "Sax is back". This 3 tracks EP starts with "Sax is back" an excellent percussive house tracks with slices of sax to warm up the atmosphere, "Peek a boo" is a tougher one, with solid beats, wicked synths and tribal chants, this one is a solid peak-time affair. The Miami 2010 cd of the stellar "Defected In The House" series is selected and mixed by Riva Starr, who provides 2 powerful mixed sets, choosing an excellent selection of tracks that gives to the compilation an eclectic and unique flavour, combining rolling basslines, twisted synths and pounding drums, all drenched with some classic accapellas. The result is awesome, CD 1 presents a pumpin' funky house set, while CD 2 is a more eclectic affair that flows from deeper tracks to infectious ethnic influenced cuts. The legendary Kenny Dope Gonzales is the man behind the new "House Masters" series release on Defected. This awesome 2XCD compilation provides 20 of his greatest works unmixed, including some house classics he made as one half of Masters At Work, Nuyorikan Soul and his recent endeavours with Mass Destruction, as well as some great remixes he made for top house artists. All of the 20 tracks would deserve a mention, expecially some unforgettable house gems like "I can't get no sleep", "The ha dance" and "When you touch me" by Masters At Work feat. India , "The nervous track" by Nuyorikan Soul, "No hook" by Mass Destruction, and the awesome remixes of Ruffneck's "Everybody's be somebody", DJ Gregory's "Tropical soundclsh", Sunkids feat. Chance's "Rescue me", Manzel's "It's over now", Kim English's "Nitelife" and many others. This is the 1st of two album samplers from the forthcoming re-designed Groove Junkies artist album "In the zone". The first track "In the zone" is an infectious afro-tech groover with a deep flavour, "Far away" is an uplifting soulful gem, with great vocals by TC Moses and emotional arrangements, while "The white light" is another soulful influenced beautiful track with Alexander Sky providing an intense vocal performance that fits perfectly with the infectious afro drums and atmospheric pads. Finally "Inside my soul", the first MoHo release from 2002 has now received a fresh funky-house treatment, with solid beats, beautiful Chic inspired rhythm guitar and the amazing Solomon Henderson on vocals. "Dance the way I feel" is a catchy synth pop track with an infectious 80's flavour, but the real deal is the amazing Armand Van Helden remix. "Get wild" by Sharam (one half of Deep Dish) is an excellent album, and this d:vision release is extremely interesting because they adds a powerful unmixed bonus CD with 9 of the best tracks provided in extended or remixed version. DJs will love this package because they will find hot remixes of "She came along", "Get wild", "The one" and extended versions of "I love the way", "Texi", "Don't say a word" and "Crazi" just to name a few. Tone Control (Simon Finnegan & Marcus Harris) returns for the 7th release on Tone Control Music with a beautiful mid-tempo soul track titled "Take me away". Featuring Adeola Ranson on vocals, the Original mix is an intense soulful affair with warm pads, electronic bass and hot trumpets. Joe Carreta takes the track to rhe dancefloor, providing an awesome soulful remix, adding a driven house groove and warm, infectious keys. This is an awesome EP that collects 3 of the classic singles from Logic, released on Strictly Rhythm in the early '90s. The 1994 "Blues for you" and "The flavor of love" are offered here in their Original mixes, that take us back to the magic atmospheres of the early house years. The "Hits Remix EP 2010" by Gambafreaks ft. Nicole is a very interesting package that includes some of the hottest tracks from this team in remixed format. "Never say never" is the most represented track here, with remixes from Luca Cassani, Holly vs Mappa and Lori D, just to name few. Tortured Soul returns with a new single taken from their highly acclaimed "Did you miss me" album. "In my fantasy" is a fresh and soulful funky track enriched with several brilliant remixes. DJ Spinna provides an infectious neo-soul rework, with buzzing beats and great key solo, Tom Moulton delivers a solid funky remix with an hot 70's flavour that takes us back to the "disco" days, Jask offers a powerful house version, while the Ethan White and JKriv remixes are full of 80's elements, including vocoder, spacey pads and sweeping synths.   (Franco Martinelli)

RALF GUM Ft. Kafele "Complicated" (GoGo Music) 

Back from the South Africa's tour, Ralf GUM returns on vinyl (and digital) with another soulful gem. "Complicated" by Ralf GUM Feat. Kafele is an intense track, where the soulful atmospheres are fused with warm afro influenced rhythms and enriched by the brilliant trumpet by Kafele, that also provides an infectious vocal performance. Harry "Choo Choo" Romero is back in full effect with this powerful remixes package of his classic "Night @ the black". The Romero remix is pure dope, simple and effective, with pumpin' beats, filtered sounds and that infectious electric guitar solo. Jerry Ropero provides a techy remix, adding electronic elements and catchy blips, while Jose Nunez delivers two powerful groovy remixes. DISTANT PEOLE ft. Chappell "Always for you" (Seamless)

Distant People (AKA John Silvero) returns with a new single on Seamless Recordings. This time he teams up with vocalist Chappell and provides an excellent soulful track titled "Always for you". The "Original mix" is a classic soulful affair with solid beats, great electric piano chords, warm synths and the intense soulful vocals by Chappell. Greg Stainer provides 2 solid remixes for the dancefloors (Vocal and Dub), adding pumpin' beats, extra percussions and wicked sounds, but not losing any of the tracks soul.  (Franco Martinelli)

RUBEN MANCIAS Ft. Michelle Weeks "My change" (Devotion) 

If you love the soulful-funky music you will love this track. "My change" is a great cut with stellar vocals provided by house diva Michelle Week and enriched with a couple of brilliant remixes. The original "Ruben Mancias Devotion mix" is an uplifting gospel style influenced affair with funky bass, great piano and fantastic vocals. Groove Junkies provides an awesome funky-soul rework, while DJ Dealer delivers another excellent funky-house remix. ROBERTO DE CARLO Ft. Colin Coverz "Electric soul power" (Purple Music) 

Roberto De Carlo teams up with Colin Coverz for his new single on Purple Music. "Electric soul power" is a solid funky track influenced by early 80's elements that gives the track an unique flavour that perfectly fits with the soulful vocal performance by Colin Coverz. Dario D'Attis provides a powerful remix, adding wicked and deeper sounds but keeping the funky vibe alive, while Simon Gray reworks the track completely, providing a jazzy, soulful remix in his personal trademark style.  (Franco Martinelli)

PHOTON INC. "Generate power" 2010 Remixes (d:Vision / Strictly Rhythm) 

The classic "Generate power" by Photon Inc. has been a floorfiller back in 1991 and this excellent remixes package has the right numbers to fill the floors once again. The "Soul Avangerz Soda remix" is powerful and groovy, with its irresistible driving groove and that familiar vocals, while Jimpster provides a deeper rework with funky bass and driving keys. Hardrive's super classic "Deep inside" has been a #1 floorfiller back in 1993, and the new mixes seems to be destined to rock the dancefloors once again. The Herry "Choo Choo" Romero mixes are powerful, with pumpin' beats, driving groove, hot synths ant that infectious "deep, deep inside" vocal hook. Mr V provides a beautiful soulful influenced remix, with deeper beats and warm keys, while Jesse Rose delivers 2 darker, underground mixes, adding an irresistible rolling bassline, old school funky elements and an infectious percussive groove. JOHNNY DANGEROUS "War With The Devil" (Nite Grooves) 

Nite Grooves returns with another awesome rework of one of the classic Johnny Dangerous tracks. Originally released in 1998, "War With The Devil" receives Mr V remix tratment for this 2010 release. Mr V adds warm synths, a deep percussive groove and infectious bassline to the original spoken words vocals in his "Main mix". Funky Soldiers teams up with Robert Owens for this new release on MN2S. "Silence" is a solid funky track with pumpin' beats, wicked synths, saxophone parts and the briňňiant vocal performance of Robert Owens. JoVonn provides a beautiful, deeper remix, adding his own trademark sound into the production, with lots of old school elements and that fantastic synth bass that really makes the difference. Groove Junkies returns with the 2010 remixes package of their classic "Midnight". Their own 2010 remix is a solid funky affair enriched with the uplifting vocals by Diane Carter, while their "Media noche re-touch" is a fresher and intense rework, filled with warm percussions and jazzy elements. GREG DORBAN & ANDY BUNNEY Ft. Chappell "All around" rmxs (Reel Groove)

The Part 2 of the Greg Dorban & Andy Bunney single "All around" is a deeper affair. Pet Gust provides a solid, deep and dark rework, with pumpin' beats and filtered synths that fits so good with the intense vocals by Chappell. Jazzloungerz delivers a more uplifting funky/soulful rework, while Filin Brake offers another powerful deep mix. DJ RICO aka Deep Y'all "Philadelphia" (Cabana)

The new DJ Rico aka Deep Y'all release on Cabana Recordings is an awesome funky affair with an infectious jazzy flavour, the smooth groove and funky bass perfectly fits with the warm Rhodes chords and sexy vocals. The "Trumpet mix" is a more jazzy cut, with the trumpet replacing the vocals. Finally Justin Imperiale provides an alternative remix, adding Rhodes solos and extra percussions.  (Franco Martinelli)

R.I.O. "Serenade EP" (d:vision) 

R.I.O returns with a very large EP including 3 tracks provided in various mixes. The EP starts with the cover of an old classic from the Steve Miller Band titled "Serenade" reworked for taday's main rooms. It's a dancefloor friendly track with pumpin' beats and wicked elecrto synths combined with fresh acoustic guitars and the original catchy vocals. The second track is "When the sun comes down", provided in 5 different mixes, including the powerful DiskoMachine & MarcoJ Remix. Finally, the EP closes with 2 unreleased mixes of last year's "After the love", including the funky "Mowgli & Baghera remix" and the energetic "Dan Winter remix".  (Franco Martinelli)
